Doing the wrong thing!!

With so much of action happening all arround the world economies, the one thought that hits me hard is how closely related are the two perfectly opposite poles of life namely money and spirituality. The former regarded as materialistic and the other philosophical, one can be compared to earth and the other to heaven. Today one can say the greatest of all teachers is the areana of money making, the great casino called The Stock Market.

The great ones have always said that Greed is the cause for destruction and Fear makes a person die many a times in life. The most prominent psychologial ascpects seen of a person trying to make money in stock markets is ‘THE GREAD AND FEAR FACTOR’. He either falls prey to the Greed factor and ends up loosing it all like what happened to most of the investors having invested at levels of 20000-21000 Sensex or would stay away from investing into equities like how people stayed away at levels of 2500 way back at the beginning of this millennium.

Just like how an average individual tries to go by the words of an astrologer sitting in the corner of your street, who at most times turns out predicting the wrong side of the events in your life, so does the segment of investors fall  pray to the news, views and predictions of the so called experts on the business channels, who always end up on the wrong side of the markets. This i would say because, the prediction of 8000 sensex value is still some thing that i have been waiting to see for the past four months and the levels of 25000 was some thing i have been waiting for the last nine months. Niether of this have helped an investor till date.

A balanced approach is what the great minds have been preaching as the way to lead a good life. Well iam sure a balanced aproach is what the stock markets have been trying to teach us time and time again. To win in a game one has to play it by the rules, but alas our investors tried playing the game by the dont’s instead of the do’s. The dont’s of ‘Greed and Fear’.  We have had exmples like Vivekananda, Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed, GuruNanak as our torch bearers in leading life, whome we regard as great but have failed to follow. Similarly we have some one like Warren Buffet whome we regard as the greatest investor but fail to understand and follow. Probably this is the way we are all made. Be it life or Stock markets we always end up doing the wrong thing.
